Guayama Hosts Parenteral Drug Association’s Educational Event
More than 100 representatives from the pharmaceutical industry were at the Guayama Site, to participate in the Parenteral Drug Association Puerto Rico Chapter’s educational event.
The site’s Training Center was the venue for this event that attracted for industry professionals from peer companies and suppliers.
“As leaders in the biopharmaceutical industry we take pride in hosting events such as this one that help move forward technical capabilities and scientific knowledge in Puerto Rico“, says Víctor Batista, Site Leader Guayama “I was one of the founding members of the PDA’s Puerto Rico Chapter and there are several members at our site, so this was the first PDA meeting dedicated to solid dosage manufacturing”.
The event kicked-off with an introduction to the Guayama Consumer Healthcare site, its role within Pfizer’s network and how it is using innovative technologies such as continuous manufacturing and use of dry ice to clean equipment.
PDA has more than 9,500 members around the world and through its educational events, it brings together pharmaceutical manufacturers, suppliers, academics and regulatory officials to discuss issues of mutual interest. To advance pharmaceutical science and technology.
