The PIA-PR Affiliate Membership Roster

In 1997, PIA-PR incorporated the Affiliate Membership concept and invited a select group of pharmaceutical industry suppliers, vendors, consultants and professionals participate to forge a mutually beneficial long term alliance. Chosen because of their tradition of support to the pharmaceutical industry, these organizations are representative of PIA-PR’s business partners and have enriched the PIA-PR member companies with their quality products and services. Following are excerpts from the PIA-PR Affiliate Member organizations’ many products and services.

 

Caribbean Architects & Engineers

Caribbean Architects & Engineers has been offering integrated architectural/engineering services to the pharmaceutical industry for the last 40 years. It has a staff of over 60 professionals specialized in pharmaceutical design in the fields of architecture, process architecture, process and equipment, civil, structural, mechanical, HVAC, electrical and instrumentation & controls. Services offered range from feasibility studies, master planning, conceptual design, construction documents preparation, construction support services and other specialized service such as Environmental/Permits, validation support, on-site project management, in-plant design, project controls and others. As an affiliate of Fluor we have the capability to offer our clients worldwide resoues to meet its project’s engineering needs as well as construction, validation and maintenance services. CA&E’s client’s portfolio includes most of the pharmaceutical plants in Puerto Rico, and it was the first engineering company to receive the ISO 9001 Certification. Our drafting resoues are trained to work on ACAD, Miostation, and 3D Modeling.

 

Caribbean Industrial Construction

Caribbean Industrial Construction, S.E. (CIC) serves pharmaceutical, industrial and Commercial industries as General Contractor in Puerto Rico. CIC is a locally owned company established in 1983 by Fred Gallo and Gustavo A. Hermida. It’s theme, Building Better Tomorrows, has been the driving force behind the company’s success. Key to CIC’s successful growth is its firm belief in being 100% client oriented, quality driven, and safety conscience, and its cost containment and schedule awareness. CIC initially began general contracting pharmaceutical projects, including renovations, GMP upgrades, expansions and new facilities construction, such as sterile and clean rooms. In expanding during the last two years to serve industrial and Commercial sectors, CIC has provided design / build and construction management as well as general contracting services. The Associated General Contractors of America has awarded CIC the Certificate of Excellence for Safety Programs. CIC has implemented its Teaming Partners Program, a state-of-the-art program that incorporates a Continuous Improvement process.

 
Fiddler González & Rodríguez

Fiddler González & Rodríguez, LLP is a full-service law firm with well established practice areas encompassing nearly all areas of law. With over 95 lawyers, the firm is one of the largest in the Caribbean and Latin America. Primera Hora – the island’s fastest growing newspaper, designed to meet the needs of readers with little time to browse. Primera Hora’s circulation has reached 127,000 daily copies. The El Norte and El Horizonte – two regional papers that serve Puerto Rico’s Northern and Eastern localities’ growing populations. Advanced Graphic Printing – a commercial printshop that prepares and processes various types of informative material, such as brochures and flyers, from the creative conceptual stages through publication. The El Día Directo - a client relations, customer interaction and database management company that integrates promotional and direct-mail strategies to meet specific client needs, and manages the production and coordination of event and convention registers. Pronatura – a recycling company that designs and develops programs for corporate clients. Zonai - an internet enterprise that provides the El Nuevo Día and Primera Hora newspapers’ contents on the World Wide Web and develops additional content material for specific groups. Zonai is also available to design and develop corporate websites and web pages for strategic interactive marketing, etc. A “one-stop shopping” system enables the Ferré Rangel Group to develop whatever the client needs to ensure the desired results. What distinguishes the organization and adds value to its client relations is its ability to design and develop marketing / business strategies from the creative conceptual stage through realization, production, publication and final implementation.

In February 1993, Pharma-Bio Serv was established as a service company that offered technical services, process validation, cleaning procedures, product and process transfers, process optimization, and quality and regulatory compliance programs to the pharmaceutical industry. Pharma Serv is the regulatory compliance and validation largest company in Puerto Rico. URS Caribe, LLP

URS Caribe, LLP is a multidisciplinary engineering and architectural firm with over 152 on its staff. A major group within our staff is the Environmental Engineering and Permitting Group which consists of a group of professionals dedicated to environmental affairs.  They are among the most qualified environmental engineers in Puerto Rico, possessing a thorough knowledge of the environmental laws and regulations overseen locally by the Environmental Quality Board (EQB) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

 

La Rosa del Monte

La Rosa Del Monte Group joined PIA-PR as an affiliate Member. La Rosa Del Monte Group has been serving the Puerto Rico & Continental US Markets for the past 40 plus years and is comprised of two primary operating subsidiaries, La Rosa Del Monte (LRDM) and Data Storage Centers (DSC). LRDM has specialized in office relocations, product distribution, machinery relocations, machinery packing & crating, rigging, logistics, transportation, and project management.
